Rainy day getaway.

New Harmony, Indiana.
Magical.

These little darlings were only one inch tall.

I have a slight obsession with greenhouses. I felt trapped in a lush dark dream when I came across this glass enclosed world tucked away behind an ivy covered garden.

The Antheneum by internationally-known architect Richard Meier.

A delicious winter garden that is the subject of my envy!

For an entire year I have searched for a vintage copy of A Field Guide to the Birds. Alas! My quest is over! Upon entering a corner coffee shop (joined to the Stephen Pace Gallery, sigh...) what should I find front and center of a rickety old bookcase!?! Hooray! Coupled with a caramel machiatto, it doesn't get any better than that!

Num num num num...

I adore every stinking inch of Robin William's painting in every way! It's absolutely DELICIOUS!!! DELICIOUS I SAY!

Grace.

Inspired by a super cool young lady I met over oysters on the bay in Apalachicola.

Art day on the deck.

Finding myself in the home stretch of spring break from chiropractic school, I have been scrambling to paint as much as possible. Hayden and I spent yesterday on our deck painting/coloring. The sun was warm, breeze was steady, and my tea was fantastic. It doesn't get any better than that!

"Boogla".  Hayden's latest masterpiece.

We're in the neon phase this spring.

I found this amazing driftwood stump on one of my trips last year to Apalachicola. I carried it a half mile down a deserted beach back to my Jeep. Talk about a workout! It was so worth it... it doubles as a brush holder! Sweet.

Michelle Armas!

I am dying to purchase one of these smaller pieces by Michelle Armas! One of my favorite artist/bloggers. (You may have seen her work carried by Urban Outfitters). She is terribly talented and wickedly funny. Michelle has been working on smaller 12x12 and 18x18 paintings that are super affordable. They literally sell out several hours after she posts them!!! Her larger work is major kick-ass as well. I stalk her site daily watching for new work!

What do you think? Pretty yummy stuff right!?!

Snowy day collage.

Snuggled up at home on our snow day (the dance worked), Hayden and I decided to take a cue from Cafe Moomah and make collages.

A dissected Anthropologie magazine.

A dab of Elmer's.

And some gouache. Ha, what a great word.
Gouache.
Gouache.
Gouache.

Voila!

Wedding work.

I would like to share with you a very green wedding piece I did for one of my dearest friends Krista. When I say dearest, I mean the kind of girl who (since kindergarten) shared the same bus #7... and understood the need to act as robots while riding. She never broke character. Did I mention she is a phenomenal actress as well? Let's just say she gets me.

Within the past few years Krista has been working some awesome PR magic in Nashville, promoting/selling Rodan and Field's new line, and snagged herself a pretty special dude by the name of Philip. They married last summer.

The wedding was A-MAZ-ING and you wouldn't believe her budget. I still don't. Krista started a wonderful blog called Becoming Mrs. Dial, which has been great in allowing others to keep up with her journey into married life. You can check out their story here

This painting is almost as tall as Krista... tee-hee-hee...
I love working BIG!

If anyone is interested in a wedding commission, feel free to contact me. These are so fun!
